What is Canvas?
Canvas by Instructure Learning Management System (LMS) is a powerful web-based platform designed to support educational institutions in overseeing digital learning. Educators can easily create and deliver online learning materials, monitor student progress, generate reports on individual students on course performance and provide constructive feedback on skill development and learning achievements. Additionally, Canvas is user-friendly and inclusive of special needs, extending beyond web access alone. Canvas Features

- Collaborative learning is supported through tools like Collaborations, Video Conferences, and Groups.
- Assessment is enhanced with rubrics and the Course Import Tool for bulk uploads. SpeedGrader provides detailed feedback, and real-time interactions are facilitated through Chat.
- Daily attendance can be recorded and tracked using a feature that monitors how frequently students access course materials and attend classes.

Canvas Users

Using Canvas
Canvas is designed to be user-friendly for all users. Administrators can set up their institution's account by following the Admin Getting Started tutorial, while teachers can efficiently prepare courses using the interactive Getting Started with Canvas flowchart. Students and observers/parents may be automatically enrolled or receive course invitations via email. Upon enrollment, students can actively engage with instructors, course materials, and peers within the online learning environment.
