As an educator I have used a variety of online teaching and instructional platforms, website and apps. Specifically, during the pandemic I was required to create my official online classroom via one of the more popular online classroom applications. I have also been a student or participant in online classes, webinars and meetings. In my experience there has been a limitation to the affordable access that I have had as an educator and as student which has forced me to create multiple accounts to take advantage of the trial perks as the paid subscriptions are pricey. Additionally, the Caribbean region is often blocked for many applications and the mobile version of these apps are sometimes unavailable. Canvas is a viable alternative for educators who want to maintain and grow the online class option and diversify their educational strategies in an easy to use and affordable way.
